Since on March 11 where the permanent exhibition “Victor Hugo, travelling down the memory" was inaugurated, the museum room of Victor Hugo’s house has registered a whole of 10740 visitors in 2009, a 121 % increase over last year.

The great majority of the visitors proceeded from France, with 39,19 % of the whole of the visits, followed by those of  province of Gipuzkoa with 15,41 % and the Catalan public with 9,52 %, being the most crowded months those of June, July and August. 

All of them could have enjoyed the corners of the house where the writer Victor Hugo lodged during the summer of 1843, building that dates of the XVIIth. In the second floor one finds the recreation of the trip that he describes in his work "The Pyrenees". There we will find the interactive audiovisual that will make us know the attractions of Pasaia across his own writings.

In this exhibition we will find a sample of several elements that have belonged to different collections of the house throughout the years as the bed room that occupied the own Victor Hugo and the original epoch furniture of the house
