In 2003 the museum was inaugurated with the permanent exhibition "Nineteenth century, the fashion of an age". On exhibit was part of the wardrobe specially created for the street performance that took place in Pasaia to mark the bicentenary of Hugo's birth. "The romantic itinerary of Victor Hugo", based on an extract from "The Pyrenees", combined biographical tones with passages from Hugo's most representative works, such as "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" and "Les Miserables ". The exhibition was closed in August 2008 to make room for new content and to proceed with arrangements for the permanent exhibition "Victor Hugo, travelling down the memory". In recent years new items have been added to the first floor of the Victor Hugo House to make it more attractive to visitors.
Victor Hugo's bedroom: inaugurated in 2007 and also forming part of the permanent exhibition. |
